Chicken Soup
1 soup chicken
8 - 10 cups water
1 Tbsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1 onion, cut in pieces
3 carrots, sliced
2 sticks celery, chopped
1 package of large lima beans, rinsed
2 parsnips with leaves
1 parsley root cut in half
Optional - chicken feet (really!) for substance

Clean the chicken. Combine the chicken and lima beans in large soup pot with water and salt. First bring to boil, then cook over medium fire about 1 hour. Add all other ingredients, cover, and cook over low heat for another 1 hour. Cut up chicken and serve with the soup.
